We met while studying and quickly connected on so many levels. As our education journey progressed it became clear that we shared the same values and visions when it came to how we wanted to practice wellness in a clinic setting. It is our mission to make holistic healthcare a mainstream, accessible option for everyone. Amazing results can be achieved when collaboration is embraced in health. During our final year we made the decision to set up in practice together and Enhanced Wellbeing was born.
I was raised in a family who had an holistic view to health, however we experienced a number of situations with allopathic (conventional) medicine that caused significant harm to some members of our family and led to a rather fractured relationship with – and view of – primary health care. It was very much one or the other; there was no room or tolerance from either side of the system to work collaboratively. During my own journey with allergies and then on into raising my own family it became very clear to me that the best health outcomes come from collaboration. It was difficult to find this type of healthcare and I was frustrated by the one-sided approach. This quest for a balanced approach fuelled my desire to embark on this journey.
Two years ago I suffered a major health event that required a lengthy hospital stay allowing me to personally observe the amazing results that come from collaborative health care. This experience enabled me to appreciate the direct link between emotional and physical wellbeing and the importance of addressing all aspects of health.
I have a strong focus on recovery and rehabilitation – be it from chronic illness, injury or life events. I have been there – stressed, dissatisfied and broken and I completely understand the support and treatment needed each step of the way. I have a passion for providing realistic and effective programmes for my clients and supporting them during their journey. I am a registered Naturopath, Nutritionist, Herbalist and Massage Therapist and I look forward to working with you towards an Enhanced Wellbeing.
Women’s health and nutrition are my passions. I know from first-hand experience that mental and physical wellbeing are precious gifts that we should never take for granted. They can slip from our grasp so easily if we don’t focus on ourselves and nurture the health and beauty inside all of us.
I had a 25-yr career in finance and was a full-time working mum with three sons. Our middle son has severe autism and, although a rewarding journey overall, there were so many times when I was taken to the extreme edge of what I can manage. Life felt very stressful but I thought I was doing fine. The knot in my stomach and foggy head became my norm and I got up each day and put one foot in front of the other. In fact, I seemed to enjoy people saying, “I don’t know how you manage!”. Looking back now, I have no idea how I did it either. Stress and fatigue gradually took their toll and my body began to send me all sorts of cryptic messages – pain, rashes, fatigue, bruising, digestive problems, thyroid issues not to mention my short fuse and irritability putting strain on the relationships with people I love. It was not until I began to understand that I needed to prioritise my wellbeing and health that changes began to happen. Small steps in diet and lifestyle led to bigger changes and the journey culminated in me qualifying in Naturopathy and Nutrition.
Women’s bodies are finely tuned and made up of elaborately complex systems. These systems need nurturing and there are times in our lives where we need to intensely focus on our own physical and mental wellbeing. Unfortunately these times are often when life’s demands are at their highest. My goal is to help women achieve optimal health at all stages, empowering them to achieve their very best life through a natural, nurturing approach.
The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but interest her or his patients in the care of the human frame, in proper diet and in the cause and prevention of disease.
A healthy body is a guest chamber for the soul; a sick body is a prison.
Every 35 days your skin replaces itself and your body makes new cells from the food you eat. What you eat literally becomes you. You have a choice in what you are made of.
Good nutrition creates health in all areas of our existence. All parts are interconnected

It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver
When you change your diet, you can change your physiology and you can heal

If only we treated our bodies the same way
